Australian Caravan Parks Exposed

(PRWEB) April 22, 2005 -- Many Australians travelling around Australia have inadvertently checked themselves into poor quality caravan parks. A new independent website now allows caravan and motor home owners to view photos of caravan parks to determine their suitability. The Australia Travel Now website - http://www.australia-travel-now.com - is the creation of photo journalist John Townsend. "When I started to travel with my own caravan I found it extremely difficult to get information about a caravan park prior to arrival", he said. "A park may look good on paper but when I arrived if would find it was next to a busy highway or had poor amenities" John Townsend has a five year plan to photograph 80% of caravan parks in Australia. "It's a big country but something that I am enjoying doing", he said. The website already contains over 1,500 photos of caravan parks in NSW, Queensland and South Australia. The website has been set up for the touring public and does not accept advertising from caravan park owners. "If the park is poor quality then I want to be able to say why this is so", he says. Users do not have to register or pay fees to use Australia Travel Now.
